STONE BLUFF — Kathryn ‘Irene' Keith, 88, died at 11:53 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006. She was born Sept. 19, 1918 in Sheldon, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Ethel (Hendress) Taylor. She married James K. Keith Sr. Feb. 20, 1939. He preceded in death Aug. 8, 1991. She graduated from Sheldon High School. She worked at Radio Materials Corp. in Attica for many years. She was a member of the Stone Bluff United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher, choir member, helped with the newsletter, served on the church board, worked in the kitchen for Bible School and with the after-school young group. She loved the Lord and served Him most of her life. She loved having big family dinners and always welcomed anyone who showed up at meal time. She was “Grandma” to a lot of people. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and loved ones. Survivors include: three daughters, Kate Keith, Stone Bluff, Melba Keith, Joliet, Ill. and Hallie (John) Hannon, Stone Bluff; three sons, James K. (Linda) Keith Jr., Wingate, Rick Keith, Veedersburg; and Drew (Susie) Keith, Elkland, Mo., 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in Stone Bluff United Methodist Church. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Williamsport. Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, was in charge of arrangements. – jlr
